Work experience

2015 till present- Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, IOM

At my institute, we run a dedicated pediatric nephrology clinic twice a week (Sunday and Wednesday). We provide both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services in the PICU and NICU. I have significant experience in managing children with a wide range of renal disorders, including urinary tract infections, nephrotic syndrome, acute glomerulonephritis (PIGN, lupus nephritis, IgA nephropathy, MPGN, RPGN), acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Additionally, I have some experience managing tubular disorders and performing plasma exchange procedures. In addition to clinical work, I have been actively involved in teaching and research.

Research
Experience:

I have conducted studies on neonatal
AKI, peritoneal dialysis, nephrotic syndrome, UTI, PIGN, and CKD. My recent
publication, “Clinico-epidemiological Profile of CKD in Nepalese Children,”
appeared in an indexed journal (KUMJ). Ongoing projects include studies on
Rituximab in Nephrotic Syndrome and Long-term Outcomes of RPGN in Children. My
research interests focus on early CKD detection, optimizing dialysis care,
genetics, normative renal length data, and the impact of infections and
malnutrition on renal health. Additionally, I have co-guided pediatric
residents in thesis work for the past 10 years.
